KL Towerthon

On Sunday 1 March, participated in the KL Towerthon at the KL tower. Woke up 6.30am.. had lor mai (pulut) for breakfast. That morning also Uncle Fong just arrived from Taiping for a meeting in KL.
I drove to KL. After yesterday I already try out how to drive there. Actually, its very near Pudu Raya. Now I know how to drive to Bukit Bintang, Pudu Raya, Jalan Raja Chulan … last time I donno how to drive to KL……. anyway, arrived at the place around 7.30am… wanted to park at the building opposite. Suddenly the guy told me have to pay RM10. Er… I was thinking want to reverse out, but quite difficult, I said ok lah, and search for my wallet. But I didn’t bring my wallet ! It was in the other handbag, because the night before, I attended my secondary school classmate’s wedding dinner at Bukit Jalil Golf Resort……. so I told the fella I didn’t bring my wallet, so he let me go in first… after driving down a few levels I wanted to go out the exit. Then the guy at the exit won’t let me out at first, since I didn’t have a ticket. The I reverse and hit a wooden table….. big noise, and the security guard sitting in the corner, came to have a look. Not much damage lah, old tables and chairs ! Eventually the guy let me out… whew…. ok so went driving around to look for parking…. discovered that all the Pubs and disco place is just nearby here… parked somewhere else RM5, about 5 mins walk.
Ok, after that met up with Shoo Chan at the entrance. She pass me my number and t-shirt. Then we pin our numbers and wear the timing chip. After that went to look for Chia, SP and Mr Chin. That time some people already started running.
Quite alot of people. Took some photos and put my bag at the luggage truck. Some of them went toilet. I was wearing my pouch so I could still carry my camera.
My category was called to the starting line, and the announcers gave a short briefing. The time to beat is about 13 mins I think. That is the record holder.
Chia’s friends ask me whether it’s difficult or not. I said, no.. if you just walk up it will take around 30mins….
So everybody started running at 8.45am. I ran abit faster to cut most of the people in front of me. Running up the hill slowed down because tired. I saw Evie (the Gunung Rinjani tour organizer). Tried to keep up with her pace and ran right behind her.
To be continued ..
