12-19 February 2008 - Family outing during Chinese New Year break. Thanks to Jason and Veronika .....

Arrive in Surabaya for dinner. Hot stuff !!!

Overnight at Veronika's mums house and banana fritters for breakfast...

Take local flight to Lombok

Sheraton Sengigi Beach Resort Lombok.
Lombok is greener because its rainy season ... compared to the last time I came, in August...

Wow ...nice rooms ... I will sleep on the sofa tonight...
Bathroom was also great....

Exploring the resort at Sheraton Hotel .. coconut trees everywhere.
Its rainy season so quite cloudy ...

Dinner time, took a taxi and drove all the way to this place to eat the famous kangkung (water spinach)

Peanuts, bean sprouts, kangkung and sambal... yummy...

Next day, driving around lombok ... pottery making

Taking a tour around a traditional lombok village... that house is a rice barn.. where they store all the rice...

Back to Sheraton and we thank the driver....

Time for dinner... seafood... recommended by the hotel

They call it bebek bengil (Dirty Duck Diner in Ubud near the monkey forest)
